The Chemin de fer de la Rivière Romaine (CFRR) links Havre-Saint-Pierre to the massive ilmenite (titane iron) to lake Tio. The mineral is then shipped to Sorel-Tracy using the St. Lawrence river. The railroad was created in 1949. This railroad is owned and operated by QIT-Fer et Titane, which is a subdivision of the Anglo-Australian company Rio Tinto.[1]
